FAQ

Straight answers to real questions

Straight answers to the questions Jacksonville homeowners ask us most. If yours isn't here, call or message us on WhatsApp — a real person will give you a real answer.

Getting Started

How do I book a plumber with you?
Call or message us on WhatsApp — that's the whole process. Describe what's going on, send a photo if you can, and we'll give you a free estimate and set a time that suits you. There's no form to fill out and no call center to get through.
What happens on the first visit?
We listen first, then look. You tell us what you've noticed, we diagnose the actual problem, and we explain what we found in plain language along with your options. You get a written quote before anything starts — and if you approve it, we can often get to work the same visit, depending on parts and scope.
Do I need to be home while you work?
For the first look and the final walkthrough, yes — we want you to see what we found and what we did. For longer jobs like a repipe, we can arrange access that fits your schedule so you're not stuck home all day. We'll sort out what works when we book.
Is there anything I should do before you arrive?
Nothing is required, but a few things help: clear the cabinet under an affected sink, jot down when you notice the problem, and know where your main shut-off valve is. That last one is worth knowing anyway — every Florida homeowner should be able to find it before hurricane season, and if you can't, we'll show you where it is while we're there.

Services & Scope

What plumbing work do you not do?
We stick to plumbing — so we don't pump septic tanks, drill wells, or do the tile and carpentry side of bathroom remodels. If your job falls outside what we do, we'll tell you straight away instead of dabbling, and point you toward the right trade where we can.
Do you work on all brands of fixtures and water heaters?
Yes — we install and repair all the common residential brands. If a part for an unusual or discontinued model is hard to source, we'll tell you honestly and lay out your options, including what replacement would look like, before you commit to anything.
Can I buy my own faucet or fixture and have you install it?
Yes — customer-supplied fixtures are welcome, and we're happy to advise before you buy so you don't end up with one that won't fit your setup. One honest note: on parts you supply, we stand behind our installation work, while the fixture itself is covered by its manufacturer.
Do you handle big projects, or just repairs?
Both — that's the point of the name. The same company that fixes your running toilet also does full repipes, water heater replacements, sewer line work, and cast iron pipe replacement in Jacksonville's older neighborhoods. Small repair or major project, it's one call.

Scheduling & Areas

What are your hours?
We're open 24 hours a day, Sunday through Friday, and closed on Saturdays. That means early mornings, evenings, and overnights are all fair game Sunday to Friday — schedule whatever hour actually suits your life.
Which cities and neighborhoods do you cover?
All four First Coast counties: Duval, Clay, St. Johns, and Nassau. In practice that's Jacksonville proper from Riverside to Arlington, the Beaches, Mandarin, San Marco, Orange Park, Fleming Island, Middleburg, St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra, Nocatee, Julington Creek, Fernandina Beach, and Yulee — and if your town sits between two of those, we cover it too.
How does scheduling work?
You pick a time that suits you and we confirm it — simple as that. When we're headed your way, we let you know, so you're not held hostage by a vague all-day window. If anything shifts on our end, you hear it from us first.
Can you come out the same day I call?
Sometimes — it depends honestly on that day's schedule. What we promise is a straight answer: when you reach out, we'll tell you exactly when we can be there rather than promise a window we can't keep. If the timing doesn't work for you, we'll say so and find one that does.

Pricing & Quotes

Do you require a deposit?
For most repairs, no — you pay when the work is done and you've seen it. For larger projects involving special-order fixtures or significant materials, a deposit may make sense, and if so it's agreed in writing as part of your quote before anything is scheduled. Never a surprise.
Do I get the quote in writing?
Yes — every quote is written, and it's yours to keep whether or not you hire us. It spells out what's included so you can compare it fairly against anyone else's. We think a quote you can't hold onto isn't really a quote.
Will you match a lower quote from another plumber?
We don't automatically match numbers, and here's the honest reason: two quotes rarely describe the same work, parts, or standards. What we will gladly do is sit down with the other quote and ours, walk you through the differences line by line, and let you decide with clear eyes. If someone else's deal is genuinely better for your situation, we'll tell you that too.
What happens to the price if the job turns out bigger than expected?
The quote you approved stands unless the scope genuinely changes — and if it does, we stop, show you exactly what we found, and agree on the revised plan together before continuing. You will never discover a change for the first time on the bill.

Your Home & Our Work

Will you protect my floors and clean up afterward?
Yes — tidy work is a standing rule, not a favor. Shoe covers at the door, drop cloths where we're working, old parts and packaging hauled away, and the space left the way we found it. If we cut into a wall, you'll know exactly what to expect before we do.
Do you pull permits when the work needs one?
Yes — where the city or county requires a permit, we handle it as part of the job and include it in your quote. Work like water heater replacement and whole-house repiping typically calls for one. You won't be left to figure out the paperwork yourself.
Do you guarantee your work?
We stand behind our workmanship: if something we installed or repaired isn't right, tell us and we'll come back and make it right. Parts and fixtures we supply carry their manufacturers' warranties, which we pass along to you. The exact terms for your job are spelled out with your quote, in plain language.
Will you explain what you did before you leave?
Yes — every job ends with a walkthrough. We show you what was done, how it should behave from now on, and anything worth keeping an eye on. If any question comes to you after we've left, message us — the conversation doesn't end when the invoice does.
