Pricing
How our pricing works
Here's how our pricing works: estimates are free, and you get a fixed, upfront quote before any work starts — no hourly meter running, no mystery line items at the end. This page explains how we get to a number and what genuinely makes a plumbing job cost more or less.
Free estimates
Finding out what's wrong and what it would cost is always free — whether that's over WhatsApp with a photo or with one of us taking a look in person. You owe nothing for an answer.
A fixed quote before work starts
You see the full price and approve it before we pick up a tool. The quote is for the job, not the hours, so a slow afternoon never becomes your problem.
No surprise add-ons
If we open a wall and find something we didn't quote, we stop, show you, and agree on the change together before continuing. Nothing gets added to your bill that you didn't say yes to first.
Small jobs welcome
We quote a leaky hose bib as gladly as a full repipe. Small jobs get real quotes too — not a shrug and a made-up minimum.
What actually moves the price
No two jobs are identical — these are the honest factors behind every quote we give:
- Scope of the job — replacing a faucet cartridge and repiping a whole house are different animals, and the quote reflects how much work and material each actually involves.
- Access — plumbing that's easy to reach costs less to fix. Pipes buried under a slab, sealed inside a wall, or tucked in a tight attic take more time and care to get to.
- Parts and fixture grade — a builder-grade faucet and a premium one do the same job at very different price points. We'll lay out the options and let you pick the level that fits.
- Permits — some work, like water heater replacement or repiping, typically requires a permit from the city or county. Where one is needed, it's handled and included in your quote.
- Age and condition of the existing plumbing — original cast iron drains or galvanized supply lines in an older Riverside or Murray Hill home can need extra care that newer CPVC or PEX doesn't.
- Repair versus replacement — sometimes a repair is the smart money, and sometimes it's paying twice for something that's at the end of its life. We'll give you an honest read on which situation you're in, and quote both when it's a genuine toss-up.
FAQ
Pricing questions, answered
- Do you charge for estimates?
- No — estimates are free. That's true whether we can quote from a photo on WhatsApp or need to come out and take a look in person. You'll never pay just to find out what something costs.
- Why do quotes differ so much between plumbers?
- Because two quotes rarely describe the same job. Plumbers make different assumptions about scope, use different grades of parts, and differ on whether permits, haul-away, and cleanup are included or billed later. When you compare quotes, compare what's actually written in them — and if something in ours is unclear, ask and we'll walk you through every line.
- Can I get a ballpark over WhatsApp with a photo?
- Yes — send us a photo or a short video and we'll tell you honestly what we can. For simple, visible jobs, a photo is often enough for a real quote. For anything hidden behind a wall or under the slab, we'll say so plainly and schedule a free look rather than throw out a number we'd have to walk back.
- Do you price by the hour or by the job?
- By the job. You approve one fixed price before work starts, and that's what you pay whether the job goes quickly or fights us. We think that's fairer — you're buying a fixed result, not our time.
- What forms of payment do you take?
- We keep payment simple and flexible, and we'll confirm the current options when we quote your job — before any work starts, so there are no surprises on that end either. If a particular method matters to you, just mention it when you reach out.
